One compliment that especially struck me last year was when our wonderful wedding coordinator referred to me as organized in a passing comment. I was thrilled! Her job relies on both being organized and keeping other people organized, so it was gratifying to hear that she viewed my organizational skills positively. I don't think of myself as hyper-organized but I do pride myself on efficiently getting things done and having recently added an extra element of chaos to our daily lives (hello, Foster!) I'm even more aware of the systems I use to stay on top of things.
Evernote - Please tell me you're not still using the native notes app that came with your phone. There is a better way! I live and die by Evernote and I'm not sure how people planned weddings before this app and others like it existed. Even in my typical (read: not wedding planning) life, I use it probably at least a half dozen times a day. Sharing notebooks comes in super handy for keeping grocery lists and other household info on pets, home repairs, and yes, wedding planning. I also love the ability to create outlines (okay maybe I am more organized than I tend to admit) and checklists, which I find super helpful for packing. Weeks ahead of any trip I start keeping a packing list which I use to check off each item as I pack them. Have I convinced you yet?
Fantastical - I kept a paper planner for years before going digital, but now I'm a convert. I'm still partly mourning the demise of the Sunrise calendar, which is now only available through Windows Outlook (and therefore inaccessible to me). I'm probably a little grumpy about making the switch, but Fantastical is a worthy replacement. It combines my iCal and Google calendars in one place and streamlines staying on top of holidays and birthdays.
Mind Body Online - It seems like almost every boutique fitness class that I take is managed through the Mind Body platform. This app lets me keep track of my available passes and class schedule across a handful of unrelated studios and including a few salons and spas too. The Mind Body app also automatically add classes and appointments I've booked to my ever-important calendar.
