It seemed crazy when I reached the one year milestone of creating this blog, and I'm even more incredulous that Skyline Blossoms has now been part of my life for two years. This past year has been a particularly full one, and I'm so grateful for that.
Wedding planning kept me so busy that I didn't cook as much as I'd hoped to, but this recipe was a highlight and this one is in my regular rotation. I escaped to LA for a girls weekend in May and Doug and I spent my birthday weekend exploring eastern Long Island in June. Of course our wedding was the highlight of my year, and I loved being able to share it on the blog last month. I know I've been teasing out the post on our honeymoon and I promise it's coming soon!
I heard it said so well recently that as you get older the accumulation of life means that time seems to go by faster. That phrase, accumulation of life, has stuck with me. In addition to having recently gotten married, we're at the stage of life when friends are having kids and we're watching them grow up unbelievably fast. Even looking back at our wedding photos I'm nostalgic about how much my nephew has changed since September - and that was only five months ago! This past weekend we brought home a puppy. Her name is Foster, which was inspired by the beach where Doug and I got engaged, she has enormous hazel eyes and is absolutely adorable.
I appreciate the way in which this blog captures the shape of each year in my life, and that it provides me an outlet to share the things I love. I am so grateful to you for reading it! My sincere thanks for following along.
