My mini gift guide has become a tradition three years in the making. This year, I took inspiration from items that I own and adore, with one exception (which I really hope Santa is paying attention to!). These are things that I would be thrilled to give or receive, created by people who put care and passion into what they do. Happy gifting!
K.Slade Brooklyn Foldover Clutch in Wine - I have numerous K.Slade clutches and I get so many complements on them. The founder, Kelsea Slade, creates beautiful and well-crafted bags that are made in Illinois. You've seen me carry these bags here, here, and here (to name just a few) and I think this wine color will be perfect all winter long. Still need convincing? It's on sale too! Don't wait too long - I expect it will sell out.
The New Paris by Lindsay Tramuta - Now, you didn't think I was totally done writing about Paris for the year, did you? I mentioned this book in my first Parisian recap and I really, really love it. It'd make a great gift for anyone who loves Paris, food, or is just looking for stunning photos and inspiration in the form of a coffee table book.
McGee & Co Miller Laurel Farmhouse Crock - This is the one item on my list that I don't own but would love to have in my kitchen. (Santa! Mom! Dad! Doug! Are you listening?!) These crocks, a collaboration between McGee & Co and Farmhouse Pottery of Vermont, are timeless and well made. I strive to showcase gifts that will last for decades, because that is how I choose things for my home. These beauties squarely hit that mark.
Snowe Home Cheese Board Set - The American-made walnut board is gorgeous and I appreciate the simplicity of the stainless steel cheese knives. The board is just perfect whether I want to set out a cheese or two while Doug and I cook dinner or to use it for entertaining. The board cleans up easily (I'd been slightly concerned) and we happily use both the board and the knives more often than I'd anticipated.
Brooklinen Scented Candle in Nightcap - This candle is currently burning while I write this blog post. It was a freebie that we received last year when ordering a new duvet set from Brooklinen and it is literally my favorite candle in the house. We burn it all year round, and it has a depth that is balanced nicely with citrus notes. I'll be re-ordering ASAP when this burns out (it's getting close) and I'm intrigued by the whole set.
Oui Shave Rose Gold Razor Set - Friends, this razor is the entire reason I made a gift guide this year. I was uninspired and hadn't come up with gift ideas that I was REALLY excited to share with you. And then a gorgeous photo of Oui's newest razor appeared in my inbox, and that was the spark I needed. I've been shaving with a Oui safety razor (I have a previous model) for well over a year. The razor is a thing of beauty and it makes shaving a luxurious ritual. I need a full post to wax poetic (wink wink) about how smooth this razor leaves my legs, the myriad reasons I love the whole Oui Shave line, and how I found the transition to using a safety razor (easy and worth the upfront cost). But that will have to wait for another day.
So that's a wrap. Sorry, I can't help it with the puns. But seriously, if you need wrapping paper, check out the collaboration between Sugar Paper, one of my favorite stationers, and Target. I stocked up and obsessed with this line.
