I was visiting Columbus (my beloved hometown) last weekend and spent an afternoon at the Roosevelt Coffeehouse, which my sister suggested we visited. It was a great spot to relax and recharge, and frankly to take refuge from rainy, blustery day (there was a combination of lighting and snow later on - it was wild). I seem to be hiding out in coffee shops to escape inclement weather a lot lately! If you find yourself in Columbus, the Roosevelt serves up Stumptown coffee, pulls a great espresso, and steeps the most perfect rooibos tea.
If I have a uniform, it's skinny jeans and either a silk blouse or a this button down (last seen here). It's the perfect versatile blue, in a shade that's a touch brighter than classic chambray and in a fabric that is smooth and almost silky. I love that this shirt is long enough to look polished when worn untucked, but without being overly boxy. Wearing white jeans was my nod to spring (I know it's out there some where!) and I added a pair of sharp black flats for polish.
That dainty cup of espresso? Not for me. My sister enjoyed it (and snapped a few photos) while I waited for my tea to steep.
My tea is ready! And it's served in a giant mug the size of a bowl. Win!
Concentrating on tea drinking. But really, despite my serious look, I was thoroughly, contentedly enjoying that cup of tea!
