It strikes me as totally surreal that I've reached the one year anniversary of Skyline Blossoms, and yet here I am! In fact, it was just over a year ago that I holed up in my West Village studio for a three day weekend to build this site, emerging only occasionally for a smoothie break or a quick workout. And it was exactly a year ago that I then launched my first post. Since then, Skyline Blossoms has been a place for me to learn and explore as much as its been a place to share my inspiration and my life week to week.
Over this past year, I have cooked a lot (remember all those CSA veggies?), experimented with and refined my personal style, and continued to travel, including fulfilling a longstanding wish to visit Hawaii. I also moved to Brooklyn, leaving behind Manhattan (after nearly nine years) and this incredible view. The biggest milestone during the year was, of course, when my fiancé and I got engaged during a very memorable late summer trip to Sag Harbor.
I have dreams, goals and exciting plans for Skyline Blossoms going forward. With those firmly in mind, I've decided to revise my posting schedule to once a week, with new posts continuing to go live on Tuesday mornings. While balancing my day job, blogging, and wedding planning, I'm conscious of trying not to spread myself too thin. I want to continue investing the time, effort, and energy to produce quality posts, and slowing my publishing schedule will help me do that.
As I look ahead to this coming year, I would really love to know what you would like to see more of on Skyline Blossoms. Thank you so much for reading!
