The holiday season is always full of parties and social commitments, and this year we also had engagement-related celebrations with friends. In addition to wearing a few cocktail dresses that I reach for year after year, I used Rent the Runway to add a bit of variety. It was freeing to try new trends, like the subtle hi-low hem on this lovely Nha Khan dress, which I wouldn't necessarily commit to owning. This dress has a beautiful drape, and the fabric has a good weight to it. I loved the clean bateau neckline, and opted to carry a metallic silver vintage clutch, which had been my great-grandmother's, and to wear minimal jewelry in order to let the dress speed for itself. To keep white seasonally appropriate, I balanced it with charcoal suede heeled boots to add a rich texture and contrasting color.
