I have sensitive skin and a mild obsession with skincare products, which means that I'm constant experimenting. Luckily I've discovered a handful of products that nourish my skin and smell lovely. Here are my current favorites for summer:
Leahlani Skincare Coco Infusions: I couldn't decide between the Mahana (warm vanilla) and Pua Lei (tropical floral) scents when ordering, and I still can't pick a favorite. This multi-tasking body oil takes me right back to Hawaii each time I apply it. I wish I could tell you that I discovered Leahlani at the Hanalei Farmers Market (where you can find founder/owner Leah selling her wares many weekends) but I actually found it via Instagram after returning from my trip to Hawaii.
Jao Brand Goe Oil: My mom introduced me to Goe Oil last winter and I was hooked. It has an uplifting light tropical scent (from Tahitian Monoi oil) and is a solid oil that liquifies when warmed. A small amount goes a long way, and (as with any body oil) I like to apply just after getting out of the shower. Jao also makes a Patio Oil with bug repellent that I'm keen to try when lingering outdoors on summer evenings.
One Love Organics Coconut + Salt Mineral Body Lotion: When One Love Organics launched this product recently, I knew right away that I was going to love it. And I do. It's a light, clean scent that's extremely subtle and completely perfect for summer. It can be worn alone or layered with a body oil depending how much moisture my skin needs.
Chocolate Sun Cocoa Glow: I had given up on sunless tanners before this because I hated the smell and found that they dried out my skin. Reading scores of positive reviews made me brave enough to try again, and I'm so glad that I did. Chocolate Sun is super moisturizing (it includes shea butter, coconut oil, and aloe), it provides an even, natural-looking tan, and it smells delicious. I could hardly believe it.
