It's spring, finally! To celebrate, we stopped by Jefferson Market Garden this past weekend en route to our first outdoor brunch of the season at Gottino (as seen here), a darling Italian wine bar and enoteca in the West Village. Their back garden is our favorite under-the-radar outdoor brunch spot and it's equally charming and cozy indoors at the long marble bar. If you go, don't miss the fig, ricotta and honey crostini.
I clearly took inspiration from spring colors for this outfit, although I didn't realize this pale pink t-shirt would be a spot-on match for the flowering trees. This Spiewak field jacket works so well for spring in NYC. It's a good transitional weight and the military styling and rose gold hardware add a welcome edginess. It also has a hidden hood which zips into the collar, which is serving me very well on raining spring days.
Being able to ditch my jacket felt like such freedom!
