This has been a memorable year for me. In February, I holed up in my apartment for a long weekend to turn my longstanding daydream of launching a blog into reality. I am so proud of this space, and grateful to have a creative outlet through which I can share my favorite things (and occasionally my semi-random musings). Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your support in reading Skyline Blossoms.
The same month that I launched this blog, my first post as a guest blogger for Cake & Whiskey's Sip & Slice went live. It's been rewarding to contribute to an organization and undertaking that supports "the sweet and spirited world of business", which really resonates with me. The experiences of women in all aspects of business, from the triumphs to the challenges and all the messy bits in between, is very near to my heart. I'm honored to add my voice to that conversation.
The personal highlight of my year came in September, when my boyfriend proposed on Foster Memorial Long Beach in Sag Harbor, NY. The sun had just set, and the moment was beautiful, relaxed and low key in a way that felt very true to us. I was thrilled and overjoyed when Doug asked me to marry him, and since that day we've enjoyed a whirlwind of celebrating with family and friends. We're planning our life together and a wedding for next year, and I am very much looking forward to what 2016 has in store for us.
I'm heading home to Ohio to celebrate Christmas with my family, and will take next week off to spend quality time with them and recharge. I'll be back again with a new post the first Tuesday in January. In the meantime, I wish you a merry Christmas and hope you have a restful and relaxing start to the New Year. See you in 2016!
