My parents and sister came into town last weekend, and we spent Saturday shopping for wedding dresses. It was a wonderful, memorable day, and it was packed to the brim. I knew that we'd be running around town, with a few stops in Manhattan and plus in Brooklyn. I opted to wear textured neutrals to take me straight from shopping appointments to a big family dinner that night.
This outfit remixes a few fall favorites, including my coziest Ayr sweater (seen here) and flirty Joie leather mini skirt (seen here). To transition from early fall towards winter (or something like it), I paired them with black riding boots and opaque tights. The result was sturdy enough to withstand a very full day about town, but still felt fun and personal enough for such a special occasion.
It's just too fun, I couldn't resist!
