Shortly after I turned thirty, my skin became dramatically drier. It felt like it happened over night, which was almost comical since it so quickly followed a milestone birthday. I was unprepared to take care of my newly dry skin, and I really had no idea what to do. Luckily I discovered face oils, which have become an integral part of my skincare routine. I had always worried that they would cause congested skin, but I've found the opposite to be true. Face oils are the perfect prep before applying makeup, and they impart glow-y skin that's not at all greasy.
Kypris Beauty Elixir III - Prismatic Array is soothing and nourishing, and the oil is a gorgeous deep orange color. I credit this product with really reviving my skin, after my misguided initial efforts to improve my complexion. (Turns out, lots of exfoliation is NOT the answer. Now I know!) This product is a splurge, but you use only 2-3 drops at a time so it last for ages.
Tata Harper Beautifying Face Oil smells divine. I really can't get over how fragrant it is, and it's both lightweight and very moisturizing. It's a transporting and relaxing part of my beauty regime, and at a slightly lower price point.
To pair with any face oil, I'm currently loving Gressa Rejuvenating Mist. The lovely ladies at CAP Beauty taught me that facial oils (or any oil, for that matter) absorb better when layered over slightly damp skin. Spraying a toning mist accomplishes that and feels like such a luxurious part of a skincare ritual too.
