We spent last weekend in Colorado celebrating a friend's wedding. We were fortunate to catch brilliant yellow fall foliage, while the temperatures were unseasonably mild and perfect for hiking. We've come to really enjoy going on hikes, and last fall we explored the Anvil Trail on Acadia's Schoodic Peninsula and Bear Mountain, which is just an hour north of New York City. We now find ourselves seeking out opportunities to get out and hike, and Beaver Creek certainly did not disappoint. We followed the Overlook Trail up the mountain, through serene Aspen glades and to ridges with gorgeous vistas. I'm hopeful that we can get one more New York-area hike in this season!
